Although the 30-foot waves only come around during the months of November through February, the North Shore is a location that is boasted about all year long. Pay Your Respects at Pearl Harbor – Visit the Arizona Memorial that pays homage to the 1,177 men that lie entombed in the sunken U.S.S Arizona Battleship. Named for the pearl oysters that were once harvested there, Pearl Harbor is the only naval base in the U.S. to be designated a National Historical Landmark.
